Apple TV Rumors Swirl and 3 Tech Titans to Watch
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): According to a report that is coming out of Taiwan claims that Apple has been considering flat-panel displays that range from 46 to 55 inches for the company’s rumored TV set. The report by Focus Taiwan News Channel has claimed that the Cupertino tech company started to test televisions with Apple supplier Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also called Foxconn. The report comes after another from last week by the Wall Street Journal, which claims that Apple started to test the TV with suppliers.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) revenues from Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store surpassed $15 million per day, and revenue from Google’s Google Play have reached $3.5 million per day, app store research company distimo reported, according to TechCrunch. Google Play’s revenue saw a 43 percent increase over the past four months in its 20 largest markets, and Apple’s revenue from its app store saw a 21 percent increase over the same period, the website quoted the firm as saying.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) submitted a patch to the WebKit project as a way to lengthen the open source rendering engine with a prototype implementation of the Pointer Events specification that the company has begun to work on together with Google, Mozilla, and Opera. WebKit is the rendering engine used in Apple’s Safari and Google’s Chrome browsers, as it has made Microsoft’s work a contribution to products that are in direct competition to its own.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) was victorious against Negotiated Data Solutions (N-Data) in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, after a long 4-year battle. In the legal proceeding, the court took the side of Intel and said that the company did not infringe on patents #5,361,261; #5,533,018; #5,566,169, and #5,594,734.
