Apple Rumored to Update iOS 6 and 4 Tech Titans on the Move
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Sources say that Apple Inc. has been testing an update for their most recent iOS version, iOS 6, and will be releasing it within the next few weeks. The company is said to have been testing the iOS 6.0.1 update with carrier partners around the country and it will end up fixing a general list of bugs and issues for iPhone and iPad users.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG): According to the Guardian, newspapers accounting for 90% of Brazil’s circulation have abandoned Google News (NASDAQ:GOOG). The National Association of Newspapers, an organization representing 154 of the country’s papers, said that all of their members have banned Google from using their content, claiming that Google refused to pay for it and was driving traffic away from their websites.

OpenTable, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPEN): Amid reports that they may have caught the eye of a potential buyer, OpenTable, Inc.’s shares are being bid at a slightly higher price. According to Reuters, Yahoo! might be taking a good hard look at the restaurant reservation giant. Other firms in the crosshairs include PubMatic, Turn, and Millennial Media.
Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH): Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC) and AMC Networks (NASDAQ:AMCX) announced today that they have settled their litigation with Dish Network LLC., related to VOOM HD Holdings LLC. The lawsuit, VOOM HD Holdings LLC versus EchoStar Satellite LLC, was filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): The problems at AMD are caused by the collapse of the PC market and that collapse is hitting Intel Corporation just as hard. Intel processors must support the old x86 instruction set, as former Apple executive Jean-Louis Gassee noted, something rival ARM Holdings (NASDAQ:ARMH) designs don’t have to do.
