More bad news came today for consumers eager to get their hands on Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new iPhone 5.

The China Labor Watch reports that workers in a factory that produces the coveted smartphone – which has already been experiencing shortages in supply – have just gone on strike.

The protesting workers at the Foxconn plant in the city of Zhengzhou are rumored to number somewhere around three to four thousand, and are refusing to work due to a lack of quality control training and demands to work over a holiday.

Multiple production lines of the iPhone 5 are reportedly in a “state of paralysis.”

The bad news for Apple and its loyal customer following comes just two weeks after Foxconn was forced to shut down a different Chinese plant after employees began rioting.
