Lawsuit Decision on Its Way

Apple will get a decision in the case filed against it by Greenlight Capital before the company’s annual shareholders meeting on February 27, a federal judge has said. David Einhorn’s Greenlight started the lawsuit in an attempt to stop Apple from going ahead with a vote on a proposal to put limitations on issuing preferred stock. The judge also said that Greenlight had shown a likelihood of “success on the merits,” but that he would like to focus on the issue of “irreparable harm” to the hedge fund if the vote went ahead… (Read more)
