Apple Maps Exec Gets the Axe and 1 Tech Titan on the Move

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): After widespread criticism of their new Maps app, Apple Inc.’s Senior Vice President, Eddy Cue, has fired Richard Williamson, the overseer of the application.  Tim Cook, Apple’s Chief Executive Officer, issued a sincere apology for the mapping problems after the company replaced Google Maps with their own version on iPhones and iPads using IOS 6. The new service had mislabeled streets, misleading driving directions, missing images and incorrect addresses. The firing of Williamson follows a shakeup in Apple’s senior management  that was announced late last month.
