Consumers can already purchase Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) products in Sam’s Club (NYSE:WMT) warehouses, but the two companies may soon expand their partnership, with Apple looking to place its Apple Store-in-program in the warehouse chain.
Apple already has its Store-in-programs at Target (NYSE:TGT) and Best Buy (NYSE:BBY), and according to 9to5Mac, is targeting Sam’s Club as its next retailer. The Apple Store-in-program includes a small Apple Store-like layout within a larger retail store. For example, Best Buy displays Apple products on tables similar to those at Apple stores, while customers are helped by trained Apple specialists.
Discussions are still in the early stages and no timeline has been set. Whether Sam’s Club parent Walmart (NYSE:WMT) is also in discussions to offer Apple stations in Walmart branded stores is as yet unknown.
