Anonymous has released 14 gigabytes of data the hacker group says proves Bank of America went to the trouble of hiring an intelligence firm to spy on troublemakers last year. According to the allegations, the bank engaged web intelligence outfit TEKSystems to keep an eye on Occupy Wall Street protestors, hackers, and other private citizens. Anonymous also claims the information is not a result of a hack as it was stored on a misconfigured server and ”basically up for grabs.” The list of phrases Bank of America’s “spies” were looking for apparently included “keg stand” and the Wikipedia page for Dr. Seuss’s “I Wish That I Had Duck Feet.” Now there’s money well spent.
