Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) may ship over 5 million Nexus 7s in 2012. According to players in the Taiwan-based supply chain, Nexus shipments are anticipated to continue at a high level of 700,000-1 million units, even after their peak demand this month.

Apple Inc. Chico’s FAS Inc. (NYSE:CHS) said that their fourth quarter sales through the fourth week are up about 3% on a comparable sales basis and their total quarter sales have increased by about 8%. They said that Hurricane Sandy impacted them during the beginning of the fourth quarter, particularly in the Northeast.  Since over 260 stores closed at some point because of the storm, sale increases at the rest of their stores should be in mid to high single digits.
