Apple EYES Windows Phone and Nokia as Competitors and 3 Stocks Rising to 52-Week Highs

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): A study conducted by Localytics has revealed that the amount of Windows Phone (NASDAQ:MSFT) handsets has increased 312 percent worldwide since January and 273 percent in the U.S., according to AllThingsD. Nokia’s (NYSE:NOK) share of the global Windows Market has grown to about 60 percent from about 22 percent of the market. AllThingsD adds that although there is growth, Microsoft and Nokia’s market share is not enough to support the ambitions of either company. The shares closed at $656.06, down $9.09 or 1.37% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $354.24 to $665.15.

Agrium Inc. (NYSE:AGU): The idea that the rally in corn prices has calmed after a recent pullback is not correct as supply and demand continue to be out of balance, with a few traders in the physical market stating that it is necessary that prices rise to $9-$10 a bushel to push demand down, reports Financial Times. The shares closed at $98.89, down $2.27 or 2.24% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $60.15 to $101.75.

American Woodmark (NASDAQ:AMWD) reports a Q1 adjusted EPS of 7c, consensus 3c. The shares closed at $18.99, up $0.75 or 4.11% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $10.88 to $20.97.

CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS): Democratic Congressman Jerrold Nadler has released a draft of a bill requiring Sirius XM (NASDAQ:SIRI) to pay the same compensation to artists as Internet radio stations are required to pay, reports The Hill. The legislation would also increase the fees that traditional radio stations are required to pay to artists, the publication added. The shares closed at $36.24, up $0.16 or 0.44% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $17.99 to $36.25.
