Apple Engineers Frustrated By Company’s Secrecy

According to Glassdoor reviews, more than a few Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) engineers are frustrated by the tech company’s high level of secrecy. After all, it can be difficult to work effectively when you’re not sure what you’re working on half the time.

One former engineer says: “Secrecy is a killer. The more you give to the job, the more is expected from you. No chance of life balance here. Ever wondered why Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) always makes the top ten of the best companies to work for but Apple never even gets close? Well, there’s a reason…” Adds former employee Mark Hamblin: ”They make everyone super, super paranoid about security. I have never seen anything else like it at another company.”

Despite the fact that a lot of information ultimately seems to get leaked, there aren’t many companies more secretive than Apple. They’ve even gone so far as to impose these secret-keeping rules on employees’ spouses, which of course, only adds to the allure.
