A U.S. District Court upheld an earlier decision by a federal jury last year, which was to award intellectual property and patent holding firm VirnetX with over $368.2 million, after it was decided that Apple infringed patents related to the networking technology and used it its FaceTime video chat service.

The Pentagon is expected to open its networks from Blackberry (NASDAQ:BBRY) to Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhones and iPads as well as tablets running Google’s Android OS, according to AllThingsD. The company added three new packages to its Office 365 line-up for businesses. These are Office 365 ProPlus, Office 365 Midsize, and Office 365 Small Business Premium. These complement the existing Office 365 Small Business and Enterprise offerings which Microsoft is updating with much of the most recent new features and functions introduced late last year for the on-premises complements of the products in the suite.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): Current Price: $20.99

Intel has agreed to make chips for Altera Corp., a move viewed by analysts as the strongest signal yet that the semiconductor giant is considering a shift in business strategy. This news caused an incline in Intel shares on Tuesday. The stock saw a rise of almost 2 percent closing at $20.58.
