Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): There was a lot of talk about Apple Inc.’s Black Friday deal offerings, but it looks like the world’s largest technology company isn’t offering the deep discounts like other retailers. Apple started their sales event on Friday and though details were kept largely under cover until Thursday, there are better deals for their products outside of the company. Apple is offering a discount on their iPad, iPod, and MacBook lineups, but outside resellers are offering larger savings on each of their products.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Shopping has been giving itself a makeover in time for the holidays and they are beginning to look a lot more like Amazon.com. Last week, they introduced wish lists for saving items and sharing them with friends, 360-degree photographs of items, retailer promotions and product reviews. These updates came after Google made a big change, for the first time being, including allowing retailers in Google Shopping only if they pay to list their products there. Google said this would make the listings better because retailers would have an incentive to list up-to-date items.
