AOL to Shutter Hipster and 4 Media Titans Making Waves

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL): Current Price: $30.81

Hipster.com, a hyperlocal photosharing app AOL acquired in March 2012, will be shut down as of February 16. Registered users were sent emails informing them that they will need to save any postcards, which is Hipster’s term for posted images, by that date or they will be deleted along with any additional user data.
