Amazing as it seems, AOL still makes some $500 million per year on dial-up Internet which covers all of its corporate costs and then provides a neat profit on top. All of this is due to its trusted old-fashioned Internet connection that does not even permit users to talk on the phone when it’s in use.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX): Closing price $196.43

The strongest momentum tech names for Tuesday have been LinkedIn (NYSE:LNKD) and Netflix, as both had powerful “gap and go” type movement after their earnings were released. Pivot resistance for Netflix is $190 and pivot resistance for LinkedIn is $163.

Coinstar (NASDAQ:CSTR): Closing price $54.55

Shares were downgraded from Neutral to Underweight with a $51 price target at JPMorgan due to worries over both valuation and risks linked with its Redbox movie rental unit.

Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC): Closing price $86.97

Roughly one third of Time Warner Cable subscribers will see their television fees rise on March 1st. The average rate increase will be approximatey 2.6 percent, but the most part of Western New York customers will not be affected because about two-thirds of them are billed for television service as part of promotional packages, says Time Warner Cable’s Western New York communications manager Joli Plucknette-Farmen. Rates for telephone and Internet service will stay the same.
