The following is an excerpt from a report compiled by Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities.

- December 24: Lone Ranger ($89), Insidious Chapter 2 ($84), Jobs ($16), Getaway ($11)
Key Redbox releases last year (domestic box office total from BoxOfficeMojo.com):
- December 21: Total Recall ($59 million), Resident Evil: Retribution ($42 million), Premium Rush ($20 million)
- December 24: The Dark Knight Rises ($448 million), ParaNorman ($56 million), Trouble with the Curve ($36 million), The Words ($11 million)
Over the next two weeks, there are three rental releases that grossed more than $50 million in domestic box office compared to three last year. DVD rentals for the upcoming two-week period should outperform the same period last year due to higher box office results.
