Analyst Insights: Cobalt International, Altera, Plains All American, Monsanto, Amazon.com June 4th

Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CIE): Credit Suisse said Cobalt shares are trading at a discounted valuation and notes catalysts from North Platte with results expected in late Q3. Shares are Outperform rated with a $40 price target.

Altera Corp. (NASDAQ:ALTR): Piper Jaffray expects Altera’s mid-quarter update on June 7 to be positive and thinks the stock is likely to outperform over the next couple of quarters. Piper believes Altera is likely to narrow its Q2 revenue guidance to the upper half of the range and keeps an Overweight rating on the stock.

Plains All American Pipeline LP (NYSE:PAA): UBS remains bullish on Plains All American given opportunities in the Permian Basin, BP asset integration, solid execution, and favorable market conditions. Shares are Buy rated with an $85 price target.

Monsanto Co. (NYSE:MON): BofA/Merrill raised Monsanto estimates citing the strong Q3 report. Shares are Buy rated.

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN): Evercore removed Amazon.com from its Conviction Buy List citing potential margin pressure from inventory expansion. Shares remains Overweight rated.
