Analyst Alerts: Perry Ellis International, ViroPharma, BB & T, Anheuser-Busch April 11th

Perry Ellis International Inc. (NASDAQ:PERY): Perry Ellis (NASDAQ:PERY) has amended and expanded its license agreement to design, manufacture and distribute apparel and related accessories with Callaway Golf (NYSE:ELY). The company will assume all distribution channels in the western hemisphere including sporting goods, national accounts, green grass, tournaments, specialty golf stores, and e-commerce channels. The company anticipates for this transaction to be accretive to fiscal 2014 earnings per share.

ViroPharma Inc. (NASDAQ:VPHM): After the FDA said that ViroPharma’s Vancocin would not qualify for three additional years of exclusivity, Oppenheimer expects the company to maintain significant market share by launching a generic version of the drug. The firm lowered its target on ViroPharma to $27 from $34 but maintains an Outperform rating.

BB & T Corp. (NYSE:BBT): Goldman expects regional bank loan growth to disappoint and sees risk to margins given competition. The firm believes Buy rated BB&T (NYSE:BBT) and Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ:FITB) are best positioned and Sell rated Comerica (NYSE:CMA) and Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ:ZION) are at risk of lower earnings and multiple compression.
