In an effort to get them running longer on a single battery charge, a key requirement for mobile devices these days, Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) is reducing the power consumption on its all-important Core line of processors from 17 watts to 10 watts. This, however, may not be sufficient for devices such as the iPad which run without cooling fans and would ideally require processors that consume only 4 watts of power, say analysts.

Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane approved AMR’s (AAMRQ.PK) request for cancellation of a labor contract with its pilots, deeming it a part of the airline’s restructuring.
