Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) signed a deal to obtain content from EPIX, causing Piper Jaffray to believe that the deal indicates that Amazon is becoming more and more willing to obtain more content to compete in the video streaming sector. The firm also adds that investors may keep being skeptical regarding Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), given the growing domestic competition faced by that company. The firm keeps a Neutral rating on Netflix.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): According to Piper Jaffray, Apple’s media invitation suggested that the company’s September 12 event will be for the launch of iPhone 5. Piper believes that Apple could have the ability to sell 8 million iPhone 5s before the quarter’s end, if the ship date is September 21 as reported. The firm maintains an Overweight rating and a $910 price target on the stock.
Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOR) valuation range has been raised by Leerink due to the firm’s forecast for a rise in Medicaid reimbursement rates for the company’s Acthar drug for Multiple Sclerosis, Nephrotic Syndrome, and Infantile Spasms in 1Q13. The firm keeps an Outperform rating on Questcor.
AtriCure, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATRC): After speaking with AtriCure’s interim management, Barrington thinks that AtriCure’s risk/reward is extremely positive. The firm believes that the company’s business continues to be stable, and it thinks that the stock would be “extremely undervalued” if its stability continues to be intact through the quarter’s end. The firm views AtriCure as a takeover candidate, and it keeps a $14 target and an Outperform rating on the stock.
AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ:AVAV): Raymond James is making a short-term trading call on AeroVironment and believes that shares will trade up following the report.
