Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSA): Following an advertising claim that Comcast’s Xfinity Internet servics is “fastest in the nation,” the Better Business Bureau has attacked the company about it. In the ads, Comcast uses a PC magazine from last year, and it does not include all possible DSL option. The shares closed at $31.09, up $0.38 or 1.24% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $19.19 to $30.88.
Goodrich Corp. (NYSE:GR): Reuters reports that China’s Commerce Ministry has given conditional approval for United Technologies Corp.’s (NYSE:UTX) $16.5B acquisition of aircraft part producer Goodrich Corp. (NYSE:GR), and has stated that Goodrich should divest or sell sections of some businesses. The European Commission is currently reviewing the deal as well. The shares closed at $126.69, up $0.29 or 0.23% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $80.07 to $126.76.
Altria Group (NYSE:MO): Beginning June 18, the company will increase its cigarette brand prices by 6c per pack. The shares closed at $33.77, up $0.09 or 0.27% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $23.20 to $33.86.
Reynolds American (NYSE:RAI) will match a 6% price raise on Altria’s cigarettes, beginning immediately. The shares closed at $42.68, up $0.19 or 0.45% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $31.82 to $42.81.
Southern Company (NYSE:SO): Currently, Moor is serving as VP and associate general counsel. The shares closed at $48.00, up $0.38 or 0.8% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $35.73 to $47.80.
