Buffalo Wild Wings (NASDAQ:BWLD) Q2 profit increased 9.3 percent, but the sales boost at established restaurants was not able to offset the stubbornly expensive chicken-wing prices for the year. Last year, the Minneapolis-based sports bar and grill chain saw benefits from low chicken-wing costs as its competitors who rely on beef were faced with record-high prices. As of now, increasing prices for bone-in wings, which accounts for nearly one-fifth of its commodity costs, threaten the profitability of the restaurant. For Q2, Buffalo Wild Wings reported an $11.7 million profit, or 62 cents per share, which is up from $10.7 million, or 58 cents per share, the previous year. Also, revenue has risen 30 percent reaching $238.7 million. Shares of Buffalo Wild Wings are trading 11.63% lower today.
