Vantiv (NYSE:VNTV): Baird believes any weakness in Vantiv tied to its secondary offering provides a buying opportunity. The firm reported such due to its increased guidance, impressive execution, and favorable risk/reward. Vantiv shares are rated Outperform with a $26 price target.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is expected by Needham to maintain its near-term objectives, including making it to profitability next year, in the course of its Q2 earnings conference call. Needham thinks production of the Model S electric vehicle is ramping to internal plan and maintains a Buy rating on Tesla stock with a price target of $40. Wunderlich noted this morning that it believes Tesla’s Q3 guidance will probably not meet expectations.

IDEX Corporation (NYSE:IEX): Brean Murray reduced its price target on IDEX Corp. after Q2 results demonstrated lowered guidance and economic sensitivity. Brean Murray thinks a significant amount of the reduced guidance is pre-built into the price of the shares and holds to its Buy rating.

Zions Bancorp.‘s (NASDAQ:ZION) target has been lowered by Sterne Agee following its report of in-line profits, as Sterne Agee believes revenue growth was light and the outlook for margins and revenue growth is still difficult. The firm holds to an Underperform rating on shares.

Akamai Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM) is planned by CLSA to turn in impressive Q2 results with the addition of Cotendo acquisition and hints toward stable volume and pricing. CLSA believes guidance will be the focus and that the resistance to margin dilution from increased capex and the Condendo agreement is overdone. Shares of Akamai are rated Buy with a $44 price target.
