Plains Exploration & Production (NYSE:PXP) delivered a profit and missed Wall Street’s expectations, AND came up short on beating the revenue expectation. Adjusted Earnings Per Share decreased 31.67% to $0.41 in the quarter versus EPS of $0.60 in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose 67.95% to $869.2 million from the year-earlier quarter.

Plains Exploration & Production reported adjusted EPS income of $0.41 per share. By that measure, the company missed the mean analyst estimate of $0.86. It missed the average revenue estimate of $1.11 billion.
