Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announces it is hiring for more than 50,000 temporary positions at various fulfillment centers across the country to meet customer demand during the holiday season.

According to the WSJ, Vikram Pandit fell out with his board at Citigroup (NYSE:C) on issues relating to “strategy and performance.”  A tweet from Charlie Gasparino, quoted in Business Insider, says Pandit was fired and that the Morgan Stanley SSB debacle was the last straw for the board.

Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) received a legal setback in its dispute with Western Digital (NYSE:WDC) regarding purported trade secrets theft by a Seagate ex-employee. A Minnesota district Court turned down the $630.4 million award granted in favour of Seagate and returned it for arbitration.
