7 Oldest NFL Quarterbacks of All Time
After Sam Bradford’s season-ending knee injury, St. Louis Rams reportedly reached out to retired quarterback Brett Favre, who is now a real grandfather, asking him to make a comeback. The 44-year-old Favre, who hasn’t played since December 2010, was given the offer through his agent, Bus Cook, according to ESPN. Favre, though, told the Rams that he was done with pro football. Speaking with Sports Talk 570 in Washington, Favre said he was sure of not returning to the NFL. “It’s flattering, but you know there’s no way I’m going to do that,” he said. “I had a great career. I think if anything, the last year that I played was an obvious writing-on-the-wall vision for you, if you will. It was time.”
Favre, who ended his career in the 2010 NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings after a shoulder injury, is not the only quarterback to play professionally in his 40’s.
