Despite an increase of 86 percent in fourth quarter earnings, shares of Humana Inc. (NYSE:HUM) declined almost 3 percent early Monday.  The company reported a profit of $199 million ($1.20 per share).

Shares of Hasbro Inc. (NYSE:HAS) slipped 3.10 percent after reporting fourth quarter results.  The company earned $139.1 million ($1.06 per share), compared to $140 million (99 cents per share) in the previous year.

Coinstar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) shares jumped nearly 7 percent after announcing a deal with Verizon (NYSE:VZ) to form a joint venture that will create a subscription service with streaming download options.  The move takes aim at Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).

Loews Corp. (NYSE:L) shares declined 1.3 percent after fourth quarter profits declined to $268 million (67 cents per share), compared to $466 million ($1.12 per share) from the previous year.

Sysco Corp. (NYSE:SYY) shares declined 2.4 percent after voicing concerns about costs.  Sysco explained that food-cost inflation, as measured by the estimated change in product costs, increased 6.3% from 4.5% a year earlier.  Gross margin also decreased from 18.8 percent in 18 percent in the most recent quarter.

Alpha Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE:ANR) shares declined .60 percent on Monday.  The coal company said it will idle production from four coal mines.  Furthermore, four other mines in Appalachia will change production schedules or reduce the number of production crews.

Sohu.com Inc. (NASDAQ:SOHU) shares plummeted 13 percent after reporting a 39 percent drop in profits.  China’s third-biggest search engine announced earnings of $25 million (65 cents per share), compared to $41.5 million ($1.07 million) the previous year.
