Post-holiday gorging, one of the toughest things is returning to a world of moderation. Cottage cheese

Though it’s largely been relegated to secondary status in the world of cheese products, cottage cheese ranks highly in its status as a product that is both filling and low calorie. It’s also high in calcium and vitamin D, is shown to help ease digestion, and is an excellent substitute for other, fattier cheeses in various recipes. Typically, a 1/2 cup of low-fat cottage cheese includes 80 calories, 12 grams of protein, and 10 percent of the daily value of calcium. Eat up.
