Garmin Ltd (NASDAQ:GRMN): Phil Falcone isn’t backing down from his plan to launch LightSquared, a mobile broadband service, in spite of challenges from rivals, members of the GPS industry and the FCC, reported The Wall Street Journal, citing his comments on a call with investors. The shares closed at $44.18, up $0 or 0% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $29.23 to $44.50.

Home Depot (NYSE:HD): Home Depot (NYSE:HD) is expected to report Q4 earnings before the market open on Tuesday, February 21 with a conference call scheduled for 9:00 am ET. Analysts are looking for EPS of 42c on revenue of $15.49B. The consensus range is 39c-45c for EPS, and $15.25B-$15.82B for revenue, according to First Call. In November, the home improvement retailer raised its FY11 EPS view to $2.38 from $2.34 vs. consensus $2.39 and forecast FY11 revenue growth approximately 2.5% vs. consensus $69.88B. The company also increased its quarterly dividend to 29c and said it would use excess cash to repurchase shares. Home Depot planned to repurchase $400M in shares in Q4. During the quarter, Home Depot acquired Redbeacon, an online home services platform, and news emerged that eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) would launch PayPal in 2,000 Home Depot stores by March. Argus recently increased its target on Home Depot, citing signs that the housing market is stabilizing. In the year-ago period, Home Depot reported EPS of 36c on revenue of $15.13B and in 3Q11, Home Depot reported solid results of 60c on revenue $17.3B. The shares closed at $46.71, up $0.78 or 1.7% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $28.13 to $46.23.

Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC): Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) could use a patent it recently received for the design of a thin laptop as ammunition against Ultrabook designers, according to Cnet. Specifically, Apple could utilize the patent to thwart vendors who make laptops deemed to resemble the Macbook Air, the publication explained. The shares closed at $27.37, up $0.54 or 2.01% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $19.16 to $27.00.

Lincoln Electric (NASDAQ:LECO): Lincoln Electric reported Q4 EPS 68c vs. consensus 63c. The shares closed at $45.80, up $0.33 or 0.73% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $26.84 to $45.93.

Qualcomm Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM): Eric Demers, the former Chief Technology Officer of AMD Graphics, is moving to a position with Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), according to The Inquirer. The shares closed at $62.52, up $0.25 or 0.4% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $45.98 to $62.40.
