Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. Cla (NYSE:HOV: Shares leaped 18.24 percent Wednesday and are up another 1.5% today on news that the company’s home sales in April 2012 beat any month since the spring of 2006, not counting a special promotion in September 2007. CEO Ara Hovnanian announced the sales increases occurred across geographies, buyer types and price points. The shares have traded in a 52-week range of $0.89 to $3.31.
Lee Enterprises, Incorporated C (NYSE:LEE): Shares were higher by 15.65 percent Wednesday on a disclosure of a new investment by Berkshire Hathaway in 1.66 million shares of the company. The stocks is off 3.76 in trading action today. The shares have traded in a 52-week range of $0.49 to $1.73.
E-Commerce China Dangdang Inc. (NYSE:DANG): The stock is climbing over 3% today as China’s interest rate gesture was cheered. The shares have traded in a 52-week range of $4.11 to $15.98.
Terex Corporation Common Stock (NYSE:TEX): Shares moved up 11.01 percent Wednesday after the construction equipment maker reconfirmed its 2012 revenue range at $7.5B – $8.0B, as pricing actions and cost controls have achieved traction. Today, shares are up almost another 1% in trading. The shares have traded in a 52-week range of $9.30 to $29.87.
USG Corporation Common Stock (NYSE:USG): Shares are up 2.2% today as sentiment for the homebuilding industry steadily improves. The shares have traded in a 52-week range of $5.75 to $19.44.
