4 Things to Watch for on the Grammys
Music’s biggest night is almost upon us — and from the pre-show red carpet to the acceptance speeches and slew of big name performances, there will be plenty to keep fans entertained. Classic artists like Led Zeppelin and Nirvana are up for prestigious awards, and new favorites like Kendrick Lamar and Lorde will be on hand to see if they’re honored with the evening’s top prizes. Will you be tuning in? If so, here are some things to keep an eye out for.
1. Exciting surprise appearances
The Grammys awards show has often been the setting for headline-making appearances and performances. This year, there’s been some buzz about surprise artists popping up on stage. Madonna, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z have been rumored; so, too, have Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, who are set to receive the night’s Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award and reunite later in the week to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. If any of these music icons do end up being a part of the show, their performances are sure to be memorable.
