Ampio Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:AMPE): Current price $3.94

Amplio announces the oral dosing of the first patient in a 505.b.2 clinical trial of the investigational drug Optina in diabetic macular edema. The trial will study Optina in adults suffering with recent onset diabetic macular edema. In 2012, the FDA awarded Optina 505.b.2 status and drugs designated under this pathway can be okayed on a single trial.

Zogenix (NASDAQ:ZGNX) Current price $1.62

Shares move sharply up, in the face of an FDA PDUFA delay on Zohydro. After the close on Tuesday, Zogenix reported that it been notified by the FDA that Zogenix will not likely receive an action letter for its New Drug Application for ZohydroTM ER (hydrocodone bitartrate extended-release capsules) by the Prescription Drug User Fee Act goal date of March 1st.

Delcath Systems (NASDAQ:DCTH): Current price $1.51

On Wednesday, the company said that the FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee will review its pending New Drug Application for a drug/device combination product with the proposed trade name Melblez KitTM (Melblez (melphalan), for injection for use with the Delcath Hepatic Delivery System. The ODAC meeting will be convened Thursday, May 2nd, to review the NDA with a proposed indication for the treatment of patients suffering from unresectable ocular melanoma that is metastatic to the liver.
