A group of lenders led by Regions Financial will lend $160 million to the developers of the Mansions at Acqualina, an ultraluxury, 47-story tower under construction in Sunny Isles Beach, close to Miami. Condos at the project start at $7.75 million, and include such amenities as a private movie theater, a cantilevered swimming pool, and a Turkish-style spa. This loan is the first debt transaction in excess of $100 million for a new condo development since the housing boom, says the analyst Scott Wadler, who covers the Miami market for the brokerage firm HFF.
