Dirk Nowitzki continues to make history this season. After moving in to the #12 spot back in March with 31 points in a win over the hapless Utah Jazz, Dirk Nowitzki displaced Oscar Robertson as the 10th highest all-time scorer in the NBA. Nowitzki, who has spent his entire career as the centerpiece of the Dallas Mavericks franchise, is one of only two active players to be in the top twelve, let alone the top ten, and the only one who might make it into the playoffs at the end of this season.

Nowitzki, who has also passed Kevin Garnett, Alex English, Jerry West, and Reggie Miller on the all-time list this season, needs a little over 200 points to leapfrog another spot in the record books. While he is a free agent this season, Dirk will almost certainly sign another deal with the Mavs and attempt to crack the top ten, and win another championship, before he retires. Dallas is currently the 7th seed in the Western Conference.
