The shares closed at $23.70, up $13.83, or 140.12%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.86 billion.

Idenix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:IDIX): Idenix Pharmaceuticals strikes while the iron is hot, reporting positive data from a Phase IIb clinical trial of its Hepatitis C treatment IDX184 just as M&A buzz in the sector picks up in force. Shares +28.7% premarket.

The shares closed at $9.66, up $2.61, or 37.02%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $928.84 million.

LCA-Vision Inc. (NASDAQ:LCAV): The shares closed at $5.94, up $1.4, or 30.84%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $111.97 million.

Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACHN): Shares of Achillion Pharmaceuticals gain 14.7% premarket as the Bristol-Myers Squibb-Inhibitex merger stokes up M&A speculation over other Hepatitis C drug developers. Other names to watch: IDIX, VRTX.

The shares closed at $9.72, up $1.8, or 22.73%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $677.91 million.

VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS): Vivus shares surge after it says the FDA has asked the pharmaceutical company to remove the restriction against use by women of childbearing age on the proposed label for the weight-loss drug Qnexa.

The shares closed at $11.65, up $1.49, or 14.67%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.04 billion.

Theravance, Inc. (NASDAQ:THRX): Shares of Theravence crater after the firm’s Phase III results for Relovair (previous) includes the disclosure of pneumonia-related deaths in patients.

The shares closed at $16.39, down $3.81, or 18.86%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.40 billion.

AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc (NASDAQ:AMAG): AMAG Pharmaceuticals trades lower after the company says it expects Q4 sales to come in below consensus. It now expects revenue in the range of $14.3M – $15M, below analysts’ estimates of $16M.

The shares closed at $16.65, down $1.89, or 10.19%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $353.03 million.

Health Management (NYSE:HMA): Shares of Health Management head straight north after Susquehanna’s AJ Rice advises clients of the firm to buy on weakness. HMA was down over 12% earlier due to concerns about a CRT Capital report on a lawsuit from one of the firm’s ex-auditors.

The shares closed at $6.96, down $0.53, or 7.08%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.77 billion.

Corcept Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:CORT): The shares closed at $3.20, down $0.24, or 6.98%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $269.54 million.

Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPTS): The shares closed at $11.89, down $0.63, or 5.03%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $371.45 million.
