Fans of the Amazing Spider Man will be more than ready for the what the newly released trailer has in store. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) returns with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) as his love interest, but with a new, yet familiar character thrown in the mix. Dan DeHaan — known for his appearance in Lincoln and Kill Your Darlings – will appear as Harry Osborn, or as some like to refer to him, “The Green Goblin.”

The first Amazing Spider Man, which came out in July of 2012, made an impressive $752.2 million worldwide, comparable to the first Spider-Man movie back in 2002 starring Toby Maguire, which made $821.7 million, though on a somewhat smaller budget, according to Box Office Mojo.

What I discovered on this one, is that it’s just a mess, Peter’s a mess, Spider-Man’s a mess, but what’s important to know is that when we meet Spider-Man at the beginning of this film, he’s taking great pleasure in his power and he’s in full control of it … He has the confidence to not only be heroic, but it’s not a boring heroism, he’s able to mess with people as he’s being heroic, he’s Bugs Bunny to a certain degree,” said Andrew Garfield at a press conference during Comic Con, as reported by the Cinema Source.

“Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci … had crafted a story that didn’t solely rest upon Peters shoulders, or Spider-Man’s shoulders,” said Garfield of the sequel. “Alex and Bob, they wrote incredibly well crafted characters across the board, a real ensemble,” he said.
