Saved By the Bell is being revived as a postmodern Lifetime made-for-television movie.

Um. What.

The show, called The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell, will depict gossipy anecdotes of the popular ’90s show’s behind-the-scenes happenings. The actors won’t be playing the characters from the original show–well, sort of; they’ll be playing the actors and actresses who played the characters.

According to Buzzfeed, “In 2009, Dustin Diamond wrote Behind the Bell, a scandalous tell-all that revealed what life was reportedly like on the set of Saved by the Bell, NBC’s still beloved series that ran from 1989–1993 and turned its cast of fresh-faced actors into megastars.”

Though Lifetime is know for its romantic mid-afternoon soap opera movies, aimed at the stereotypical stay-at-home mom (does she even exist anymore, outside of, you know, a Lifetime movie?), this Saved By the Bell movie promises to be, at the very least, really entertaining, and very, very scandalous.
